Silicone is a compound that inks are premixed with them. meaning that the color you see is not on the surface. Its inside it. And since most paint have other ingredients , after drying they get hard and can be easily peeled from your case. I suggest to use permanent ink pens. They can penetrate the silicone but may spread after a while. You may not get sharp lines after a while.

Durability of a cell phone case is all important. Lots of cheap cases are available online. Yes, you may be tempted to spend 3$ and buy a cheap case, but you will regret it in a week. Extremely cheap cases will look like junk in a month or so. This is a waste of money. A good 20$ case will do a great job, and there will be no need to replace it with a new one every month.
