How do you make your own cell phone case?

You can knit a really long rectangle, a bit wider than your phone. Knit it long enough so that you can fold it over, fit the phone in, and have a little flap. Once you sew-up the sides, how-ever you want; whip stitch, regular type sewing, blanket stitch; you sew a little button on the main body of the bag. Slip the button through some of the stitching of the flap, and there you go.How do you make your own cell phone case?
Plastic canvas works well for this. If you knit or crochet, that'll work, too. If you sew, that would be great as well. There are tons on ways to make cellphone cases. Mine's knitted because I knit and had leftover yarn. A friend has a sewn one, while another friend has a crocheted one. She crochets. You can use whatever skills you have to do this. I adapted a pattern for a Ladybug coaster to make a cellphone pocket on a Lopi yarn black and red striped crocheted oversize handbag. I use crochet a lot to design as I go for sculptures, so the Ladybug pocket has a rounded ';bug'; look, just the right size for a cell phone. By increasing a few stitches each round before fastening off, one can make a cell phone carrier instead of a pocket, by crocheting two pieces and crocheting or stitching them together.
Mine fits fine in the Hello Kitty change purse from McDonald's this summer.

I also have pockets sewn to linings inside several of my jackets.
