Does anyone else think that those magnetic leather cell phone cases kill your cell battery????

I had my new cell phone for about two weeks, then decided to purchase one of those leather cases that closes with a magnet, a few days later i noticed my battery dieng faster! I then remembered that magnets do harm batteries, but it was to late. Yet these cases are being sold all over, even in actual SPRINT, VERIZON, T-MOBILE stores. Anyone know where to get a good cell phone case without that magnetic latch?? I have a Sprint PPC-6700.

Thanks!Does anyone else think that those magnetic leather cell phone cases kill your cell battery????
There is no evidence to support this idea. Think about it, your old boom box had two big speakers in it. It was powered by batteries. Speakers have very large magnets and operate by electro-magnetic principles. A magnet can be used to generate electric power. The tiny magnet on your phone case is not going to drain the battery unless you maybe connect the battery to the magnet directly which could drain the battery.

Perhaps your battery has gone bad for some other reason? Have the phone checked out if it is new.

If you would like a different case try www.batteries4less.com. They have all kinds of cases for many different phones.Does anyone else think that those magnetic leather cell phone cases kill your cell battery????
Those cases are perfectly safe for cell phones. I've used them for years with no problems at all. The magnets in the cases are strong enough to keep the cases closed, but not strong enough to do any damage to the phone.
