If a company wanted to make a protective case specifically for an ipod or another specific device, are there any legal issues that wouldn't alllow them to?Legal issues of cell phone or ipod cases?
You can go to Radioshack and you will find that this is a basically a non-issue. The only potential one would be the use of the word iPod in marketing the product. There are so many companies like Bose and JBL who use the word with seemingly no repercussions. It's unlikely that all these companies sought Apple's permission before creating their products. I don't think Apple takes issue with it at all because the existence of all the companion products is likely a boost to sales.
