Are plastic cases for rubberized plastic cases better for your cell phone?

I have a samsung impression and i am looking for a cases. I can't decide between a regular plastic cases with a design or a rubberized plastic case. The regular plastic cases seem to be thicker or more bulky.Are plastic cases for rubberized plastic cases better for your cell phone?
Do they make a rubber case for the impression? if so I'd LOVE one..





My thoughts..


The rubber case has many CONS, bulkier , hard to slide into your pocket, gets dirty faster... BUT the main thing to me is protection to my phone... and the rubber case vs the hard plastic case will win every time..





I just upgrade to the impression and few weeks ago and have yet to find one though.. :(Are plastic cases for rubberized plastic cases better for your cell phone?
i think the rubberized one would be more shock resistant





so when you drop your phone it would help a lot more than just hard plastic
